I recently stayed at the Quality Hotel Hasle Linie in Oslo and loved it. The hotel was modern and very clean, which made my stay comfortable. Cleanliness of the room was poor. Breakfast was very good. A bit far from downtown, you’ll need transport. The area is quiet and you have a shopping center nearby with some shops, a supermarket, a pharmacy, a gastropub and a pizza restaurant. Bus stops within 5 minutes walk.
(23.09.2023)We had a really bad welcome from the woman in the reception (mahi), I don't think is the properly attitude that a person in the front desk should have.
We came around 20:00 and we had problems with the bank card so we requested to pay with cash ...surprise ! She answered that for security reasons the hotel doesn't accept cash and in a bad way she said that it was totally normal and would be "UP TO US" extrange that a hotel chain like this doesn't manage a cash system ...I wonder if is a government Law not accepting metalic money or more a excuse of not counting cash..We came from prague and there, was totally normal.
I thought, maybe I was wrong then I checked in google and doesn't say anything about prohibited... in their website say that accept bank cards but not advice about not acceptting cash.
Asked her about the hotel parking and she said is 250kr and the hotel wouldnt be responsible for damages and she again told us it was UP TO US .. ( who would park there with that answer 😅) then we parked in a private parking a but more expensive but secure.
The hotel room was not anything special but looks clean...cheap furniture, and not minibar
The lobby had a cold and sad atmosphere like the person who attended 😕.
In resume we got disappointed with our stay.
Breakfast had a good amount variety of foods and good taste, the room was clean and modern looking, bathroom was nice and clean. The reception area had a variety of snacks and drinks.
Overall a very bad experience. We had to cancel our booking due to the huge storm in august. They were almost impossible to get in contact with, the phone number was not working and they replied very late to my email. And when they replied, they said it was 'too late to cancel'... They didn't want to help us in anyway and we lost all our money while we were stuck in the storm.
So, I would really advice you to not go to this hotel, i never had such bad experience with customer service
